January news: Executive summary
We appreciate your support in creating a seamless transition for member care in 2024. Below are a couple of important network and plan updates. Please be sure your teams are aware of these changes.
• Medicare Advantage (MA) networks: We have discontinued our MA HMO networks associated with P3 Health Partners (P3) and Arizona Priority Care (AZPC). P3 and AZPC will remain available to complete claim/payment processing for 2023 dates of service. We have contracted with OptumCare Arizona to provide utilization management and claim/payment processing for some of our 2024 HMO members in Maricopa and Pinal counties, as indicated on the back of the ID card. See the article in this edition for more information and ID card samples, or download our 2024 MA overview.
• Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans and networks: Our new ACA StandardHealth with Health Choice plan uses the ACA Health Choice network. The prefix is IAZ and provider support is handled by the ACA Health Choice team. To find resources and get more information about this plan, visit standardhealthhc.com or download the provider introduction. The 2024 Provider Operating Guide includes an overview of all of our ACA plans.

AZ Blue provider portal tips
• Checking eligibility and benefits: Use the member ID prefix that is valid for the date of service. Alternatively, you can use the “Name” search option.
• Accessing online remits: Using a narrower date range (stay within the same calendar year) can optimize your search results.
