Our goal for 2025 is to enhance our Medicare Advantage (MA) HMO products through richer benefits, broader network access, and more affordable care for our members. To support this focus on our HMO plans, we will not be offering an MA PPO plan for 2025.
Members with BlueJourney PPO plans have received a letter informing them of their options and next steps for 2025.
BlueJourney PPO network to continue supporting out-of-area PPO plans
All BlueJourney network providers will remain in-network for the MA PPO group plans issued by other Blue Plans. This includes being in-network for the National MA Care Coordination Program for these members.
Note: Look for the MA PPO “suitcase” logo displayed at the bottom of a BCBS member ID card to see if the member is covered under the MA PPO network sharing program.
Blue Advantage network supports our HMO plans
Our Blue Advantage network serves all of our MA HMO plans across Maricopa, Pinal, and Pima counties. The member ID prefix for these plans is M2K.
We will continue to partner with Optum Health Network Arizona (OHNAZ) and Arizona Priority Care (AZPC) to provide utilization management and claim/payment services for some members in Maricopa and Pinal counties. OHNAZ will also provide services for some members in Pima County. Be sure to check the back of the ID card for claim filing information and the prior authorization phone number.
